It’s hard to believe 2025 is coming to an end and what a year we have had! As the days grow shorter and the weather gets colder, we’re excited to welcome you to a new season of programs, events, and community connection! Our winter session brings a mix of returning favourites and brand-new offerings designed to keep you active, creative, and engaged all winter long. Starting in January, we’re delighted to offer a new program for seniors: Seniors Social Hour. Hosted once a month on Wednesdays from 1:30pm – 2:30pm, this program is free, and tea and coffee are provided. This is a great social opportunity for seniors in the community and we can’t wait to see this program grow. Our amazing Youth Leadership team will also continue to run “Kids Club”, a program that gives parents an evening off as their kids take part in a safe and fun-filled evening at the Community Centre (including pizza, arts and crafts). Thank you to our Youth Volunteers for providing such a great service to the community! We are excited to partner with the Secret Lantern Society again this year for the Annual Winter Solstice Lantern Festival. Make sure to check their website for a full list of activities for this long-standing event on December 21, 2025. Finally, on January 10, 2026, we’re hosting a Community Centre Open House for the community from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.! Come try a free program, meet your neighbors, and learn more about what we offer. Guests will also be able to grab a coffee or stop by the Youth Concession stand for popcorn and chat with our staff, instructors, and board of directors. We’re delighted to offer free fitness centre orientation sign ups and free Parent and Tot Gym during this event too. Thank you again to our patrons for a fantastic year of programs and events in 2025. We’re grateful to be part of such a vibrant community and we ‘re excited for a wonderful winter season ahead.
