Spring & Summer 2026 Schedules & Brochures

The False Creek Community Association is delighted to welcome you to the False Creek Community Centre and we’re grateful and honoured to work in such a dedicated, passionate, and engaged community. After a successful and enjoyable winter here at False Creek Community Centre, we are excited to welcome back the longer and brighter days! Our Centre is a hub of activity and a place for people of all ages and backgrounds to come together and connect. We encourage you to take full advantage of all that our centre has to offer, including a full slate of wonderful spring and summer programs for 2026. Our Seniors Social Hour kicked off in the Winter season and was a great success! These events will continue on the second Wednesday of the month in the Lounge through spring, and we are also excited to host some activities for BC Seniors Week in June! On April 4th, come check out our Easter Eggstravaganza. Join us on a hunt for chocolate treats and enjoy spring-themed crafts led by our Youth Volunteers. Don’t forget to get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny! Register early to save your spot! Once school is out we have fun and enriching Summer Camps to offer, ranging from dance day camps to movie production camps. We are also pleased to continue to offer staple weekly camps for families – Summer Trekkers, False Creek Fun Explorers, and Youth Adventures. Finally, our Board is proud to have committed funds to renovate and modernize the Centre’s kitchen facilities. The Centre’s kitchen has not been renovated since the 1980s and updates are desperately needed. Park Board and Association staff are working hard to minimize interruptions to programming while the renovations occur and we’re grateful for your patience. We’re excited to build a bright and modern commercial kitchen for our community and stay tuned for several new cooking-related programs next year! The False Creek Community Association is a not-for-profit organization that relies on the commitment and effort of our wonderful volunteers. At the Annual General Meeting in May, the Board for 2026 - 2027 will be elected to continue the progress we’ve made over the last 12 months and set the stage for an even brighter future for our community. If you are interested in joining a committee or running for the Board, we welcome inquiries by email to fccavancouver@gmail.com. We are proud to be part of this community and to see the positive impact the Centre has on so many lives. As we look ahead, we are excited to continue contributing to a happy, healthy, connected community. Winter 2026 Schedules & Brochures

It’s hard to believe 2025 is coming to an end and what a year we have had! As the days grow shorter and the weather gets colder, we’re excited to welcome you to a new season of programs, events, and community connection! Our winter session brings a mix of returning favourites and brand-new offerings designed to keep you active, creative, and engaged all winter long. Starting in January, we’re delighted to offer a new program for seniors: Seniors Social Hour. Hosted once a month on Wednesdays from 1:30pm – 2:30pm, this program is free, and tea and coffee are provided. This is a great social opportunity for seniors in the community and we can’t wait to see this program grow. Our amazing Youth Leadership team will also continue to run “Kids Club”, a program that gives parents an evening off as their kids take part in a safe and fun-filled evening at the Community Centre (including pizza, arts and crafts). Thank you to our Youth Volunteers for providing such a great service to the community! We are excited to partner with the Secret Lantern Society again this year for the Annual Winter Solstice Lantern Festival. Make sure to check their website for a full list of activities for this long-standing event on December 21, 2025. Finally, on January 10, 2026, we’re hosting a Community Centre Open House for the community from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.! Come try a free program, meet your neighbors, and learn more about what we offer. Guests will also be able to grab a coffee or stop by the Youth Concession stand for popcorn and chat with our staff, instructors, and board of directors. We’re delighted to offer free fitness centre orientation sign ups and free Parent and Tot Gym during this event too. Thank you again to our patrons for a fantastic year of programs and events in 2025. We’re grateful to be part of such a vibrant community and we ‘re excited for a wonderful winter season ahead.
