Adult/Seniors Volunteering
At False Creek Community Centre we have a Board of Directors who are a volunteer board who jointly operate the centre! If you are interested in joining our board, you can find out more here.
We are always looking for adults to volunteer at our special events and other programs – if this interests you, please email us.
We also have several committees who help to make important decisions about the centre. If you are interested in joining one of the below committees, please email fccavancouver@gmail.com.
Program Committee
he Program Committee works on behalf of the False Creek Community Association. The purpose of the Committee is to provide a leadership role in determining and responding to community needs and interests of the False Creek Community. These needs include, but are not limited to: physical activity, recreational, cultural, social and educational programs and services.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is responsible for studying and making recommendations to the board relating to all aspects of financial planning, financial management, and financial results. This committee will oversee investments, endowments, and capital programs, if appropriate.
Fitness and Facilities Committee
The primary purpose of the Fitness and Facilities Committee is to provide guidance, oversight and support to the FCCA Board in the following areas: (1) Fitness Centre operations and maintenance; (2) Prioritized (long and short range) facilities and equipment (including furnishings) planning; (3) Minor and major capital renewal opportunities; (4) Facility maintenance.
