It’s hard to believe 2024 is coming to an end and what a year we have had! As the days grow shorter and the weather gets colder, why not join a program at the False Creek Community Centre to stay active and social?
We always strive to ensure we have programs available to suit all needs of the community. From pottery to Zumba to seniors’ workshops, there is something for everyone! Our Parent and Tot Drop-In open gym is always popular and runs every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Parent and Tot is a great way to socialize your little ones, burn some energy, and meet other families in the community!
Our Youth Leadership Team will continue to run a concession at the Centre on Saturdays from 10:00am – 12:00pm. The concession is an excellent training and skill-building program for young entrepreneurs and leaders in our community. They offer a range of affordable snacks and drinks with all proceeds being re-invested in Youth programming at the Centre.
We are also delighted to have our lounge open once again with new furniture and workspace; it’s the perfect place to relax during the colder winter months. If you have a special moment in your life approaching, we also have a variety of rooms available to rent for private events such as meetings, presentations, birthdays, and weddings.
Lastly, the False Creek Community Association is calling out for community members to join our volunteer committees. If you have an interest in sharing your ideas about programs, special events, the facility, or the senior’s group – why not join one of our many committees that make important decisions about the Centre.
