Moving with Ease
Join us on Thursday mornings at 10:30am for Moving with Ease. This is an improvised dance class for Body Awareness and Confidence Fall Prevention Through Movement, Mindfulness & Play Build strength, balance through joyful, improvised movement rooted in Qigong, Taijiquan, and contemporary dance.
Introduction to Acrylic & Watercolour Painting
Come explore painting in both traditional and unconventional ways using various tools, methods and mediums! Dive into colour theory, mixing paints, controlling brushstrokes and fixing “mistakes”. All materials will be provided but you may bring you own.
Make your Own Songs with BandLab
Songcraft Academy is a hands-on music creation program where youth ages 10-18 learn to write and produce their original songs using a free app called BandLab. Students explore digital production, lyric writing, and creative collaboration in a supportive environment. By the end of the program, students have their own song

Musical Expressions takes on a creative and intuitive approach to music learning. With goals and learning styles varying from student to student, we help you first determine what you want to achieve, so we can make it our goal to get your there!
Introduction to Drawing
Learn how to work with shading, linework, negative space, light versus shadow, and form & depth. Methods for blending such as hatching, stippling, and scribbling will be introduced; along with activities that help refine ones drawing skills. All materials will be provided but you may bring your own.
Youth Dance Drop-In
Looking for a dance friendly space with large mirrors, ballet bars and a speaker to practice your moves and routines? Solo dancers or groups of all levels are welcome. Dance Drop-In is FREE but all participants must scan their Citywide Youth Pass at the front desk each time they drop-in (this can be loaded onto a free OneCard at the front desk).
Crochet Critters
Ever wanted to make your own stuffed animal, but didn’t know where to start? This hands-on 8-week course is perfect for beginners and those looking to try something new! You’ll learn how to crochet and felt, creating a cute, one-of-a-kind stuffy from scratch. No experience needed—we’ll guide you through every stitch. By the end of this course, you’ll have a soft, cuddly creation that’s not just a stuffed animal, but a reflection of your own creativity!
Embroidery Demystified
This workshop will cover everything you need to start embroidering for fun! You will learn what materials you require (or should avoid), how to split thread, set up a hoop, do simple stitches, basic fills and French knots. Tips and tricks to avoid issues and troubleshooting will also be covered. All materials will be provided but you may bring your own.
Red Fox: Community Cultural Knowledge Sharing
Leading up to the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we invite our community to join us for an afternoon of family friendly Indigenous cultural knowledge sharing. False Creek Community Association is excited to partner with the non-profit Society and Charity, Red Fox Healthy Living Society. Red Fox engages children and youth who face barriers, with one of their special focuses being their work with Indigenous youth and families. This event will showcase the youth-led Red Fox Youth Drum Group, an Active Play circus station, a story corner and craft stations.
