Decription:

This class will focus on learning some of the many decorative techniques potters use to make their work stand out, which can include the use of slips and underglazes, stencils, marbelling, bubble glazing, sgrafitto, textures, underglaze decals, using push molds, etc. We will be making objects quickly through hand building so we can then take our time exploring decorative techniques. Wheel throwing will be an option only for more advanced students who can throw without teacher guidance. Clay must be purchased at the first class. The price includes use of studio equipment, all tools, glazing, and firing (see instructor for details). No registration will be accepted after the second class.
