Preteen Pro D Camp – Pumpkin Patch

Come spend your pro d day at the pumpkin patch and take home your very own pumpkin! Please note this program is rain or shine and includes the use of public transportation. In the event of inclement weather, the activity may change but participants will be notified in advance. Pumpkin patch information will be included in the parent email once local pumpkin patches release their schedules. Parents/Guardians will receive an email with the Parent Communication/Policy manual and forms before camp, detailing camp expectations and guidelines. Participants must be between the ages of 10-13, to register for camp.This day camp is held in the False Creek Community Centre Lounge and offsite (out trip). The sensory environment may include loud noises, bright lights, or crowded spaces. Staff prepare a daily visual schedule to help campers know what to expect for the day. Sensory resource kits may be available, including noise-canceling headphones, sunglasses, fidget tools, and visual aids. The day camp space includes a chill-out zone and a low-sensory area, with staff working to provide quiet breaks in low-stimulation zones. Program staff are typically post-secondary students with diverse interests and levels of experience, and generally between 18 and 22 years old. This program has a staff-to-participant ratio of 1:10, with additional support from youth volunteers. Please reach out to us at the time of registration if your child needs more leader attention and support in order to participate in camp. Please call the centre to inform staff if your child will be bringing an additional support person as a cleared Police Information Check is required for this person.Please pack a healthy lunch, snack and water and wear activity appropriate attire. Be mindful that we have limited spots. NOTE: Day camps require 14 days notice for a full refund.
