Introduction to Drawing and Painting

Participants will explore painting and drawing in both traditional and unconventional ways. We will dive into colour theory, blending, layering materials, controlling mark making, rendering and defining forms, and understanding how to manipulate shadows, highlights, and negative space. Each class will involve a blend of education, instruction, demonstration and plenty of time to practice! All materials will be provided but you may bring your own. Please bring your own apron. No drop-ins. No class on Feb 14.
