Easter Eggstravaganza (2+ yrs)
EGGstra fun is in store at our annual Easter event which includes a continental style brunch, games, crafts, family entertainment and an Easter Egg Hunt.
Space is limited and registration must be done in advance in-person or by phone. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This event is suited for children 2-8 years. Adults must register as well.

Sportball Birthday Party (2-10yrs)
Sportball offers high-energy, action-packed birthday parties for kids ranging in age from 2 – 10 years! Kids enjoy a variety of sports and supervised games in a fun, structured and safe environment; festivities finish off with a traditional birthday celebration. The kids will need to catch their breath before they blow out their candles! Parties include 60 minutes of activities followed by 60 minutes of birthday celebrations with the coach. Patrons are required to pay in full at the time of registration.
Inclusions: Sportball leader, gymnasium, tables, chairs. Exclusions: decorations, table settings (plates, cutlery, cups, etc), snacks, food or beverages. Regular birthday party refund policy applies.
Max. 15 kids with 1 coach, up to 20 kids with 2 coaches.
$260/1 coach; $70/additional coach.

Birthday Parties (2-8yrs)
Bounce your way into your birthday with a party at False Creek Community Centre on Granville Island.
Your party includes our bouncy castle, a decorated room, use of the kitchen refrigerator, and a party leader to set out play equipment or organize games to keep the party hoppin. Children arrive, have one hour in the gym, then go back to the party room for cake, food and drinks (brought by the participant).
Cost is $159 for up to 20 children and includes general decorations for the birthday party room, plates, napkins and cutlery. Leader will contact you a week before your party to discuss the party details. Please phone the main office at 604-257-8195 or check our on-line registration for available dates. Please note that we have discontinued providing pizza for the party. The party parent may bring or order in food for the party. Please, absolutely no nuts.

Waterworld Adventures (8-13 yrs)
This day camp will provide opportunities to experience kayaking combined with adventures to local attractions as well as sports, games and arts & crafts. Please pack a healthy lunch, snack, and drink and have your child dressed for the weather. Schedule of out-trips and parental consent forms will be available and posted on our website in early June. Baby Sign Language (0-2 yrs)
Babies understand and can communicate long before they are able to speak. Research shows that babies who learn Sign Language learn quicker and talk earlier. Using songs and games learn how to teach your baby basic American Sign Language (ASL) so they can better convey their wants and needs and relieve unnecessary frustration. The instructor will teach you the signs and songs so you can practice at home. Babies can sleep during class or you can bring some toys. Newborn-24 months.

Guitar / Recorder / Ukulele (7+ yrs)
Private 30 minute lessons to work at your own level and pace in any of these instruments. The classes are focused on technique, repertoire, basic theory and practicing skills. Participants must provide their own instrument, and a digital tuner (for string instruments). A nylon string guitar is recommended for beginners. Books will be available at the first class for $15 and up, depending on the instrument, style and level.

Calling all hockey fans and anyone who just wants to get moving! Each week starts with a warm-up drill followed by scrimmage time and a shoot out to finish. We have sticks, pucks and goggles for everyone but you are welcome to bring your own (goggles must be worn in order to participate)! Don’t forget your running shoes and water bottle! Please be mindful that this program is free and we have limited spots. If you are unable or no longer wanting to attend a session or the program, please call the centre in advance so we can offer the spot to another youth. If a participant does not attend the first 2 sessions of the program and the Youth Leader is not provided notice or reasoning for the absences, the participant may be withdrawn from the program to open up spots for other participants.

Intro to Kayaking (Basic Strokes & Capsize Recoveries) (19+ yrs)
This is a comprehensive introductory kayaking course and a pre-requisite for the Kayak Club. Learn from a certified kayak instructor about equipment and safety issues and learn several basic paddling strokes, such as forward and reverse stroke, sweep strokes, draw stroke, spray skirts, wet exits, assisted and solo re-entries. Session will run rain or shine – Dress appropriately for the weather and for repeated underwater dunking. You will get very wet so bring a dry change of clothes! Youth 13-18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Participants are eligible for the Kayak Club upon successful completion of Intro to Kayaking and can receive a 50% discount on a one month membership when joining within two weeks of course completion. A waiver form is required prior to starting session.

Never kayaked or SUP before? Already taken an introductory course and just need a refresher? With experienced and certified instructors, our 2-hour private and semi-private lessons will help you focus on specific paddling skills at your own pace. We can accommodate up to 6 participants.
