The last day of camp will include a mini art showcase to celebrate all the wonderful work of all our campers.Parents/Guardians will receive an email with the Parent Communication/Policy manual and forms detailing camp expectations and guidelines prior to the camp start date. Waiver forms must be completed and returned by the start of camp. Please pack a healthy lunch, snack and water and wear activity appropriate attire.IMPORTANT NOTE: All day camp programs will not be accepting waitlists. Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. If the program is full, please check back for future openings. Please be mindful that we have limited spots. If you are unable or no longer wanting to attend a program, please call the centre in advance so we can offer the spot to another youth. NOTE: Day camps require 14 days notice for a full refund (exceptions will require a medical note). This day camp is based out of the False Creek Community Centre Lounge. The sensory environment may include loud noises, bright lights, or crowded spaces. Staff prepare a daily visual schedule to help campers know what to expect for the day. Sensory resource kits may be available, including noise-canceling headphones, sunglasses, fidget tools, and visual aids. The day camp space includes a chill-out zone and a low-sensory area, with staff working to provide quiet breaks in low-stimulation zones. Program staff are typically post-secondary students with diverse interests and levels of experience, and generally between 18 and 22 years old. This program has a staff-to-participant ratio of 1:10. Please reach out to us at the time of registration if your child needs more leader attention and support in order to participate in camp. Please note, any adults accompanying participants for additional support must call the centre with a minimum of 3 weeks notice (March 2) to ensure staff have enough time to complete the required risk management procedure. A cleared Police Information Check may be required if we do not already have one on record.
