Description:

The class is aimed at health and wellbeing. It is taught by Lynette Hunter who has over 25 years’ training in Daoist energy work, and has taught mainly in community centres and universities in the UK, Europe, and US. The sessions are drawn from life-long practices in China, and work on flexibility, breathing techniques, and energy flow. They incorporate Joint-loosening, Taichi (body nurturing movement), Kaimen (slow exercises to coordinate movement, breath, and energy), Daoyin (using breathing for whole-body relaxation and strengthening), and Qigong (becoming aware of and directing energy flows in the body). The exercises will be adapted to the needs of class participants. Drop-ins $10, if space permits.
